Hi Julie,
First, congratulations on becoming a Grandmother! I don’t know what your future plans are, but I hope you’ll have much more time to spend with your new Grandchild. It doesn’t get any better than seeing them grow.
Thinking back over the many years I’ve known you and we’ve worked together covers a lot of territory. When you transferred to the Riverside branch, I moved into your office. Then many years later when you moved into Operations, you moved into my office on Marlboro Street. The circle was complete. There were the times I visited the Riverside branch and saw you shoehorned into a tiny office in the back-room area. When we closed the Riverside Branch, you were a key person in getting things organized for the successful move to Marlboro Street. There have been many challenges along the way and that was certainly one of them. Of course, at the Marlboro branch you had the largest office in the entire branch! You’ve seen, experienced and successfully met the many challenges and opportunities over the years. Along the way we’ve shared many laughs and I enjoyed working with you to both support staff and to always strive to provide the best possible service to customers. Your growth from working in loan operations to your most responsibilities in senior leadership speaks volumes about your work ethic and your abilities as a manager. The relationships and friendships you develop with people at the bank are the memories you carry with you. As the years roll by, you’ll be able to look back on the years at SBW with the satisfaction of knowing you’ve been instrumental in the bank’s success, but importantly, you’ll also remember the many people whose lives you’e impacted along the way.
Let me close by sending you my congratulations and a well done in all respects! I don’t know what the next phase of your life will bring you, but whatever it is I know you’ll always be giving it your best. I enjoyed our years of working together and the friendship we’ve developed. As you close this chapter, relish the time to enjoy your new Grandchild and to have time for yourself.
I wish you all the best in health and in whatever life brings you next.
Warm regards,
Peter Whittemore
